The Saudi Fund for development recently gave its agreement for the funding of 41 kilometers of roads in the archipelago of the Comoros without that for the moment the exact amount of this aid was encrypted precisely.
The axis Mitsamihuli Hahaya on Grande Comore, the road Dindri-Lingoni in Anjouan and that linking Wanani to Ndremeyani on the island of Moheli will be affected by this work, which is expected to begin between July and August 2014.
"Technicians of the Ministry of finance should soar this month for Saudi Arabia to transmit with the Saudi Fund feasibility studies. We expect studies validation and authorisation to launch consultations to retain those who must perform the work", said Saad Housseini in his capacity of Director of roads and road transport of the Comoros.
As a reminder, last February a delegation from the Saudi Fund visit to Moroni had already announced the release of 37.5 million dollars to support the development of the archipelago. About 30 million dollars had thus already been disbursed for road and airport infrastructure, as indicated by the Comorian newspaper Alwatwan.
