Saudi Arabia officially opened last week a diplomatic representation in Moroni in the South of the capital in the heart of a building of some 1,300 m2 and which houses several offices.
Many religious authorities and personalities from the world of politics and made the trip to celebrate the friendship between the two countries.
The opening of this representation will help to facilitate direct access to applications of visas for Comorian nationals wishing to travel to Mecca who were then forced to pass through Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania to achieve the necessary authorisations, as reported by the La Gazette des Comores newspaper.
"This ceremony translated the link of brotherhood that binds our two peoples... The event will contribute effectively to strengthen diplomatic ties of the two countries", highlighted Abdullah F. Alarjani, the Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the wahhabite Kingdom in the Comorian capital.
