Comoros: Neither party holds a majority in the assembly following the second round of legislative elections

The second round of legislative elections in the Comoros, which was to decide on Sunday the UPCD Party (1) loyal to the incumbent President Ikililou Dhoinine to the Juwa party (2) of its predecessor, the former strong man of Moroni, Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi, now in opposition, should not allow any party to obtain the majority of seats in the National Assembly.
The official results of the parliamentary elections are expected in the vicinity of 6 March.
As a reminder, the Juwa party turned on the evening of the first round, the leading of Grande Comore and Anjouan. The UPCD currently in power was ahead on his side other political on the island of Moheli.
33 parliamentary seats are to win in the new National Assembly of Comoros, but only 24 deputies will be elected by direct universal suffrage. The other nine members are appointed by their peers of the three parliaments of the archipelago.
