Comoros: Launch of the catch-up session for the constitution of the new biometric electoral file

In the context of the next legislative and municipal to be held in November 2014 in the Comoros and after the creation of a biometric electoral file to ensure the elections "free, democratic, transparent and clear", the Ministry of the Interior recently announced that a new electoral census will be made during ten days, from this Thursday, August 14, 2014.
The Comorian authorities thus wish to see payroll 90% of the people of voting age, as reported by the newspaper La Gazette des Comores.
"When we make the village by village account, we realize that many localities have not yet reached the 50%", explained the Director of electoral operations, Mbae Toimimou, referring to the situation on Grande Comore.
The rate in Grande Comore  is about 65% enrolled in Moroni, 74% to Hambou, 59% for the area of Mitsamiouli Mboude, and 67% in Itsandra-Hamanvu as well as in the region Hamahamet-Boinkou.
As a reminder, 76% of voters were already listed on the whole archipelago (Grande Comore, Moheli, Anjouan).
On the island of Moheli and Anjouan Island, more than 85% of voters have been identified.
