Comoros: French Development Agency unblocks 4.2 million euro for work of piped drinking water on the island of Mohéli

The French Development Agency (AFD) has released some 4.2 million euro to supply drinking water to some 7,200 inhabitants of the Djando region on the island of Moheli and its 7 towns (Siry-Ziroudani, Wanani, Mlabanda, Kangani, Hagnamoida, Hamavouna, and Itsamia).
Four other locations on the island of Moheli namely Miringoni, Barakani, Hamba and Domoni will also be covered by this project for the supply.
The work that began last weekend - laying the first stone - should be completed by June 2015, as reported by the newspaper La Gazette des Comores.
