Comoros: Comorian president advocates a dynamic and perennial partnership of African and Arab countries

The third afro-Arab Summit was held on 19 and 20 November last to Kuwait city.
The emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, was present at the Arab sides of many heads of State and African and Arab Governments as well as the Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union and the Secretary-General of the League.

The president of Comoros, Ikililou Dhoinine, invited to the rostrum the African and Arab countries to unite to face a world to the multiple challenges.
 "Indeed, more than ever, all countries must be complementary and solidarity against poverty and misery, which are rampant in some of our countries, but also against violence, terrorism, piracy and trafficking of all kinds which are an evil for all", said Ikililou Dhoinine.

In his speech, the Comorian president has also highlighted the paradox of nations affected hit by hunger and shaken by severe energy while at the same time these countries have natural resources in abundance and are equipped with a non-negligible in terms of renewable energy potential.
" Fratricidal wars, piracy, the tragedies at sea constitute a serious threat to the stability and security of our countries and our economies, not to mention poverty and the effects of climate change which are also urgent survival issues to deal with, in friendship and solidarity", said Dhoinine Ikililou.

Comorian president particularly stressed the need for a gathering of forces to act effectively together at the heart of a dynamic and sustainable partnership, as indicated by the Alwatan newspaper.
"We have renewed hope in our country, restore confidence in our people through the revitalization of cultural exchanges to better understand the soul of our people", while being "convinced of the importance of economic cooperation which will form the basis of our common interests through which we will go towards the realization of the strategic partnership we are looking for", said Comorian president Ikililou Dhoinine.
