Comoros: Comorian citizens residing abroad may vote for the presidential

Comorian citizens residing abroad will perform their electoral obligations during the presidential election 2016. A first in the history since the accession of the Comoros archipelago to its independence in 1975.
Msaidie Houmed Ali, the Minister of the Interior has lately formalized the measure. "This is to reestablish Comorian citizens' rights. The diaspora brings a lot ... Thus it is absolutely normal they are taking participate in such an important election," highlights the Minister of interior.
In France, 120,000 Comorians will thus be able vote and participate in the popular vote for president of their country. During the last legislative elections in February, the Comoros enumerated 275,348 registered on the islands of Anjouan, Grande Comore and Moheli.
