The market tendering thermal power plant and developing 18 megawatts in Grande Comore was won by Indian company Overseas Infrastructure Alliance, with a construction project planned to extend up to 18 months.
Two other companies of the great Indian Peninsula had submitted their bids.
Heavy fuel oil plant will be located in the north of Grande Comore and at some five kilometers from the international airport Said Ibrahim.
The construction of this thermal oil heavy is funded to the tune of 41 million dollars by the Indian Bank Exim Bank in the wake of an interest rate of 1% and "of a twenty-three-year repayment term, with a moratorium of eleven", as reported by the Comorian newspaper Alwatwan.
As a reminder, the Indian authorities and the Government of the Comoros archipelago had recorded on February 22, 2013 in India their partnership with the convention signing of financing of the heavy fuel oil plant.
