The coast-guards of the National Coast Guard (NCG), which are directed by the police force, celebrated yesterday Thursday 24 July the 27th anniversary of their formation in Mauritius.
Several demonstrations had thus been organised since one week on the four corners of the island, among others, rescue demonstrations at sea for youths, cleaning of the Belle-Mare beach and distribution of stationaries for a disadvantaged public.
“Placing a smile on the face of a disadvantaged child, is our best gift”, said one of the guard of the NCG
Trees had equally been planted in the surrounding of several NGC stations on the sides of Poste-La-Fayette, Belle-Mare as well as l'île-aux-Cerfs, as relates the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
