Case of 200 million ariary: The Malagasy deputies rally behind Lanto Rakotomanga

The Malagasy deputies has recently unanimously rejected the hearing of the deputy of the MAPAR * Rakotomanga Lanto, from gendarmes responsible for the investigation as the latter had solicited upstream.

Even the pro-Rajaonarimampianina deputies have refused seeing their colleague interrogated in connection with the affair of the 200 million ariary seized from her car on June 8. The Tsimbazaza deputies do not want to sanction a police "fury" against the deputy for Tananarive.
Moreover, a parliamentary investigative commission was established to get to the bottom on this sensitive issue.
As a reminder, the deputy of MAPAR * Lanto Rakotomanga, had been the subject, in early June, of a tough immobilisation of her vehicle in a popular neighborhood of Tananarive following a chase with the police. The police had to break the car windows to be able to extract her from the passenger seat that she refused to leave. The police had seized two boxes in the trunk containing the sum of 200 million ariary.
* MAPAR - which stands for "With President Andry Rajoelina"
