Barack Obama welcomes Mauritius for its good governance and social tolerance

President Barack Obama through the diplomatic channel of his Secretary of State John Kerry, via a message of friendship to the people of Mauritius, welcomed yesterday to mark the 46th anniversary of the independence of Mauritius, acquired on 12 March 1968, the democratic governance of the country, economic reforms and social tolerance can serve as a model for other nations.

Barack Obama also welcomes Mauritius, Republic Island since March 12, 1992, for his efforts to promote regional security and economic development.
The American nation "share proudly democratic traditions long established that consolidated the ties of friendship between the two countries", also reminded the President of the United States, Barack Obama, in his message to Mauritians, as reported site.
