Air Madagascar continues its restructuring

In the context of its restructuring and strategic trade policy, Air Madagascar has lately acted the renewal and modernisation plan of its aircraft.
Two new aircraft ATR72-600 and a Boeing 737-700 will shortly be deployed on its lines. The first ATR-600 will land on the Malagasy soil around the March 15, 2015 and the second aircraft of the same type will be delivered on next mid-April.
As a reminder, Air Madagascar already manages the operations of five ATR type aircraft. As for the Boeing 737-700, it will thus support the fleet serving the region after two Boeing 737-300, were withdrawn from the fleet at the end of 2014. In over-all, the Malagasy national airline company has two Boeing 737 type aircraft.
In addition, the Air Madagascar board has also decided to form twenty crews on its long-haul network consisting of two Airbus A340 and inter alia increase the number of qualified flight personnel to fly on this kind of device.
