Air Madagascar: Over 475 canceled flights since the beginning of the strike, Hery Rajaonarimampianina resumes control

While Air Madagascar is facing since June 15 a strike of its employees which strongly disturbs the traffic, it is 475 flights till last weekend that have been canceled while the bill is increasing everyday by 500,000 dollars.
Out of the ten aircraft of the Malagasy national airline company, only two Airbus A340, a Boeing 737 and an ATR operate the regional and domestic flights that have been sustained. Trade unions and management are unwilling for the time being to let go of their initial position and the negotiations are at a standstill.
The president Hery Rajaonarimampianina has recently decided to regain control in the matter and announced that from now on a dissolution of the of the Administrative Board of the Malagasy airline company will inevitably be profiled on the horizon.
