Requested over the years by Mauritian police and campaign promise during the last general elections from the Lepep Alliance which came to power in December 2014, the case of creation of a union for members of the police force is on its way to achievement in Mauritius.
A bill to this effect on the Attorney General's office is being prepared by the Ministry of Justice and should be submitted for the approval of members by the end of 2015.
