A replica of the traditional Polynesian canoe in Mauritius

A "Hokule'a" perfect replica of the traditional Polynesian double-hulled canoe will in the near future drop anchor in Mauritius on the east coast of the island.

Traveling the seas over the world for the promotion of oceans, the boat placed in the water by the Polynesian voyaging Society will anchor this week for three weeks at Bel Ombre near hotel Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort operated by a Hawaiian consortium.

The crew and will thus set up educational projects and educational discovery with several Mauritian schools.
