A Mauritius will parade on the Champs-Elysees on July 14 and will pose a photo with Francois Hollande
Mauritius will be honored at the French National Day on July 14 on the Champs-Elysées, with Melina Rungasamy 21 years old, from Chemin Grenier in the south of Mauritius, who will have the privilege to descend the beautiful avenue in the world alongside 94 other youth civic service.
 
Melina Rungasamy left Mauritius in 2011, after obtaining the HSC (Higher School Certificate) to fly to mainland France, the homeland of his father in order to pursue studies in economics and law.
The young woman who dreams of later endorsing the legal dress has been chosen by the mayor of Evry for teaching assignments in civic service.
 
Melina Rungasamy thus works to introduce young foreign students the basics of French, English and the acquisition of philosophical concepts in the context of educational success initiated by the French government.
 
"I am proud to be a Mauritian to mark a piece of French history since the participation of youth civic service it will be a first ... Walking alongside the French military is something extraordinary ... I will also have the unique opportunity to ask the President Francois Hollande for souvenir photos ", proudly rejoices Melina Rungasamy, as related by the newspaper Dimanche L'Hebdo.
