Tourist arrivals in Mayotte fell slightly




While 52,000 tourists have visited the island in 2013, the number of tourists on the island of Mayotte fell by almost 2,080 arrivals in 2014.
 
The leisure tourism in contrast to the affinity tourism accounts for only 22% of all the travelers who have visited the island of perfumes last year.
 
Reunionese travelers decreased by 8% and visitors from mainland France represented an increase of 56% of tourists traveling at Mayotte last year. The expenditure of tourists on the island amounted to 26 million euros, a decrease of 10% compared to 2013.
