The police seized heroin in a microwave oven




The police drug squad of Mauritius does not currently work-shy and increase the catch of drugs. On Tuesday, a large package coming from South Africa contained 1.100 grams of heroin.

The drugs were concealed in a microwave oven. The market value of hard drugs seized is assessed 16.5 million rupees (418,895 euros).

In the North Mauritius also officers of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) have put their hands on 2273 cannabis plants with a market value of 7 million rupees (177,713 euros). And two German citizens were also arrested for cannabis plantation. This illegal crop worth on the resale more than 100,000 rupees (2,538 euros).
