The former head of the Group of Regional Intervention Mayotte, Captain Gerard Gautier, now retired, will again be heard by the court at the beginning of July, but this time in Mayotte and is expected to resume his detention, where he was arrested, according to Kwezi Television.

The police officer will be assisted in his defense by a tenor the Parisian Barreau, Master Francis Szpiner.
Placed in custody at the beginning of last week at the Central Directorate of Judicial police in Nanterre, in of a suspected drug trafficking on the island of perfumes, the former head of GIR of Mayotte was released following the delay of the judge who was to notify him of the extension of his custody.

As a reminder, last Saturday, two members of GIR (a gendarme and a police officer) who have exercised their function within the GIR were indicted for drug trafficking, but emerged free of custody of their 96-hour at the police station of mamoudzou, as another gendarme who was placed on his side under the status of assisted witness.

According to the newspaper France Mayotte, this series of interrogations of last week about rogatory commission of the judge's instruction Hakim Karki, and indictments that have followed, have no direct link with the case of Roukia but could allow justice to decipher the exact functioning of the GIR on the island of perfumes.

The lifeless body of Roukia, aged 18 years, was discovered on January 15, 2011, half-buried in northern Mamoudzou.

The young schoolgirl died after a severe overdose of heroin, drug which would have been reintroduced indirectly on the local market by agents of enforcement of Mayotte who were in office at the time of the events in GIR, and through their Comorian indicators, locally called "uncles".
