The Eden Lodge Madagascar, which boasts five stars in its flag, won this weekend the first place in the category of sustainable ecological hotels in the prestigious awards of the International Hotel Awards in London, as indicated in the site madagascar - tribune.com.

The hotel establishment dedicated by its peers, which opened its doors in late 2008, is the first 100% solar hotel in the world, located on the island of Nosy Be on the site "Baobab Beach".

The field of Eden Lodge Madagascar unfolds over 8 hectares, and its 8 lodges are built in the heart of a protected natural environment with 75 m2 of private space for customers.

The flat stone of Anjanojano and ravinala leaves (Editor's Note: traveller's tree) are particularly part of the materials used to build lodges and the traditional buildings of the structure.

A ministerial decree of 2010 also preserves the area near Eden Lodge Madagascar of other locations, and thus gives the site a unique eco-tourism in the wake of exceptional biodiversity.
