The Deputy Rectorate of Mayotte goes on war against teacher absenteeism
To curb the high rate of absenteeism of officials at the approach of school holidays, the Deputy Rectorate of Mayotte sent an internal memo to the entire staff, to raise awareness to this major problem in the Academy.

"The vacation of teachers corresponding to school holidays of students, which requires a strict respect of the school calendar", said diplomatically the Deputy Rector François Coux.

The Vice Rector also calls on the teaching staff about the drifts related to sick leave (highlighted in bold in the administrative note), recalling that sick leave do not allow them to leave the department of Mayotte before the end of the ongoing school period.

And teachers who want to leave Mayotte "not in holiday" will have to obtain an exceptional authorization issued only by the Vice-Rector.

"In the absence response written on my part, I ask you not to engage with the airlines", warns the Vice-Rector as a conclusion.
