Seychelles: The opening ceremony of the Carnival in Victoria presented in three languages




The 2014 international Carnival of Victoria edition (25-27 April 2014), is co-organised this year by Reunion island, Madagascar and Mayotte who joined the Seychelles as well as South Africa and the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
 
The rainbow nation chose for his country the South African actress, Angelique Gerber, and English-language television presenter to be the mistress of ceremonies at the opening of the Carnival international of Victoria, alongside the Seychellois artist, Michelle Marengo, representative of the creole language and which is also assisted by a Reunionese personality whose name will be unveiled soon to do honour to the French language.
 
"We are a multi-ethnic country with three official languages. We must ensure that this is reflected in the events taking place in the heart of the archipelago. The various delegations that will land in the Seychelles may thus follow the ceremony official opening of the Carnival in Victoria in three languages, creole, English and French", stressed the Minister of tourism and Culture of Seychelles and President of vanilla Islands, Alain Saint-Ange.
 
As a reminder, the International Carnival of Victoria, Seychelles, demonstration of event in high colour is recorded in calendar Vanilla Islands (Reunion, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros, Mayotte and the Maldives Island).
 
The Vanilla Islands advocate since its inception in August 2010 the repositioning of the Indian Ocean as a tourist destination and the cohesion of the members around this common goal.
 
The 4th edition of the Carnival of Victoria followed by the international press will also be covered this year OI7 TV, the new regional television Vanilla Islands.
