Seychelles: The IMF at the bedside of macroeconomic developments of the archipelago

The last review of macroeconomic developments of the Seychelles by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has recently led to the next release of 2.3 million dollars as a loan allocated to the authorities of the archipelago. Bringing 6.9 million of benefit payments previously granted to Seychelles.

As a reminder, the bodies of the International Monetary Fund in June 2014 had gave their approval for a credit of some 17.6 million to the Seychellois government over the next three years with an immediate initial payment of 2.5 million dollars.

This loan in several tranches intended to support the island's economy which has continued to grow in 2013 in the wake of the increase in the tourist sector and low inflation. Other payments would then be allocated twice a year after the review of the macroeconomic developments in the country.
