Seychelles: The Carnival of Victoria hailed by all the press around the world

In the aftermath of the Carnival international of Victoria in the Seychelles which took place from 25 to 27 April 2014, with some twenty international cultural troops present alongside many Seychellois chars, the Minister of tourism and Culture of Seychelles and President of vanilla Islands, Alain Saint-Ange (1), recalled that this fourth edition had been welcomed unanimously by the press.
 
"We have been welcomed as a small insular state which has been able to organise such a festive event with more than 50 chars and which has managed to bring together under a same banner the various communities around the world", said the Minister of tourism and the Culture of Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange.
 
He also announced that Lesotho and the Mongolia have already recorded their presence for the next edition in 2015, as indicated in the Seychelles Nation newspaper.
 
As a reminder, the opening ceremony which was held for the first time at the Victoria stadium was relayed by 151 accredited journalists from the four corners of the planet (2) and 84 bodies of press from around the world.
 
The international Carnival of Victoria was co-hosted for the 2014 edition by Reunion, Madagascar and Mayotte, who had joined the Seychelles as well as South Africa and the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
 
The festive event is engraved in capital letters in the calendar of the Islands vanilla (Reunion, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros, Mayotte and the Maldives).
