Seychelles: Seychellois tourist authorities strengthen their links with China




The Minister of tourism and the Culture of Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange, recently met during a working lunch hosted by the Academy of tourism of Seychelles Ambassador of China in the archipelago, Shi Zhongjun.
On the menu of the cordial discussions between the two men and in the presence of students Chinese tourism Academy and the Director of the Office of tourism of Seychelles, Sherin Naiken, accompanied among others by several professionals of the Seychelles Tourism, the pursuit of tourist arrivals from China were forward with the desire to set up direct flights in the near future to the archipelago.
 
The opening of a Chinese food in the heart of Victoria place was also raised.
 
The Minister of tourism and Culture of the Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange, notably recalled the friendship that binds the two nations.
 
"China remains a privileged target for the Seychellois authorities, with a Chinese tourist market with high potential for development in the archipelago", said the Minister of tourism and Culture of the Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange.
 
As a reminder, Chinese tourists are more likely to visit the Seychelles, with growth estimated at more than 117% for the first half of this year.
 
Thus in January 2014, 2.086 tourists had been registered, an increase of 65% compared with tourist arrivals from January 2013.
