Seychelles: Photographic exhibition on Indian immigration in the heart of the archipelago
The first edition of the celebration of India in the heart of Seychelles archipelago held from 4 to 6 October 2013.
 
Kitchen, music Indian and celebrities of Bollywood star actor of Bollywood, true Ambassador of Indian cinema, writer and producer, Ranganathan Madhavan, aged 42 years, alias Maddy, held the top of the keypad to the delight of the Seychelles public.

A photographic exhibition on the life of the first five Indian settlers (Charvy, Moulia, Meinatte, Corinth and Domingo) from the Malabar Coast and landed in Seychelles in 1770, also traced backdrop of Indian emigration in Seychelles.

The exhibition entitled "A journey in time" plunged into a pan of the history of the archipelago over successive migrations from the great peninsula.

"Indians and Seychellois have not only coexisted, but also shared a development over the years in the heart of the archipelago. Going back into the grooves of the time, this exhibition has helped to unify further our relationship with mutual respect and commitment to each other to build a still fertile future, “said Minister of Tourism and Culture, Alain St. Ange.

As a reminder, the Indian community has actively participated since 243 years the economic growth of Seychelles and took to heart through this exhibition to share their culture with others
always ready to open up parts of the island archipelago other horizons.
