Seychelles: Formalisation of the dates for the second edition of the celebration of India in the heart of the archipelago




Representatives of the Indian community of the archipelago met recently the Minister of tourism and Culture of the Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange.
 
The latter has thus formalised on their side the dates from 3 to 5 October 2014 for the holding of the second edition of the celebration of India in the heart of the archipelago.
 
The first edition of the celebration of India in the Seychelles which took place in October 2013 has been "a popular success", reminded the Minister of tourism and the Culture of Seychelles, Alain Saint-Ange.
 
Kitchen, Indian music and Bollywood celebrities had notably lead, to the delight of the Seychellois public at the first edition.
 
A photographic exhibition on the life of the first five Indians settlers (Charvy, Moulia, Meinatte, Corinth and Domingue) from the Malabar Coast and landed in Seychelles in 1770, had also traced backdrop of Indian emigration in Seychelles.
