Seychelles: Folk dances of Bhutan at the international Carnival of Victoria




 
The international Carnival in Victoria in the Seychelles will host for the first time from 25 to 27 April 2014, alongside the cultural troops (1) coming from the four corners of the planet Masker from Bhutan (2) with folk dances coloured of different nomadic tribes of the country.
 
The international Carnival of Victoria is organised for the 2014 edition by Reunion, Madagascar and Mayotte who joined the Seychelles as well as South Africa and the province of KwaZulu-Natal, with a presented opening ceremony in three languages (creole, English, French).
 
The festive event is listed in the calendar of the vanilla Islands (Reunion, Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros, Mayotte and the Maldives).
 
The 4th edition of the Carnival of Victoria, followed by the international press will be also covered this year by OI7 TV, the new regional television of the vanilla Islands.

The song 'Ole Ola sel lavwa', composed and performed by Travis Julienne, with a spicy musical mix of zouk, moutia, will be the official anthem of this high festive meeting in colour, which will bring together thousands of Maskers at the heart of the Seychellois archipelago.
 
(1) Cultural troops originating inter alia in Notting Hill in the United Kingdom, in Dusseldorf, Germany, Sao Paulo with the Brazil but also Maskers coming from Italy, Indonesia, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States and Reunion
