The President of the Republic, Hery Rajaonarimampianina, has received the law proposition concerning the reform of the FFM (the Malagasy Council for Reconciliation). The Committee of experts in charge of this work, lead by the legal expert Honoré Rakotomanana, convened on the 2nd December at the Iavoloha Palace to return the document to the Head of State. Conforming to the standard process, the law project must be examined by the Council of Ministers before being submitted to the National Assembly.
Under the Constitution, the President of the Republic is the guarantor of national unity, invigorated by the Fihavanana and national solidarity, both fundamental elements to encourage the country’s progress and development. During the process, carried out within the given time, the Committee of experts consulted more than one thousand people and entities,  including former Heads of State, the FFKM, political parties and civil society.
President Hery Rajaonarimampianina thanked the Committee of experts in charge of the law reform on the FFM for this project which will without doubt contribute to the performance and credibility of this institution. The Head of State recalled that such an advance must be in line with the strengthening of political and institutional stability, which is the guarantor of harmonious and lasting development.
