More than 51,000 Chinese tourists have landed in Mauritius between January and late July




From January to late July 2015, 51,774 Chinese tourists have chosen the Mauritius destination for their journey at the heart of the Indian Ocean, representing an increase of 34.4%.
 
Flights from Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu land each week at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam airport. The month of July has been marked by a sharp increase (47%) with 9,666 Chinese visitors who have walked the Mauritian soil.
 
On a reminder note, Chinese visitors were 63,365 to visit Mauritius in 2014, a strong increase of 51.2%. In 2013, 41,913 Chinese tourists had also visited Mauritius.
