On November 16th, Heritage Le Telfair welcomed a new Hotel Manager - Michel Fredric. He is taking over from Stephan Lagesse, who worked for Heritage Resorts for a total of five years.

Michel, who is French Mauritian, has over 25 years experience in the field of hospitality, firstly in catering and then in hotel management.
His career began in 1989 when he worked for 3 years with famous chefs in Michelin starred restaurants, such as Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or with Paul Bocuse or even in l'Auberge de l'Eridan with Marc Veyrat.

From 1992 to 2008, he held the position of Executive Chef in luxury hotels in St Barthélemy in the Caribbean and then in The Residence Mauritius hotel.

In 2008, Michel was promoted to the position of Assistant F&B Manager. In 2009, he was appointed "Executive Assistant Manager for Projects and Developments" and was responsible for developing and implementing processes for The Residence Maldives and The Residence Zanzibar projects.

In 2010, he was appointed Resident Manager at The Residence Zanzibar and played an active role in its successful opening in May 2011, before being promoted to Managing Director in 2014.

Michel therefore has many years of experience in the Tourism and Hospitality sector. His close ties with various actors in the field will be a major asset for Heritage Le Telfair and will continue to ensure that this institution sets the standard for tourism in Mauritius.
