Mayotte in vigilance heavy rain in the wake of a minimum low pressure operating in the Mozambique Channel




Vigilant "heavy rain" is still in force this morning in the department of Mayotte.
 
According to Météo France in Mayotte, convective activity present in the Mozambique Channel in relation to a minimum low pressure (1008 hPa) located at 4 hours local time at about 170 kilometers north-east of Mayotte and moving southward West towards Mayotte, will drain in its wake a cloudy and unstable weather.
 
During the day this Monday, January 27, 2014, the island of Mayotte will be affected by heavy intermittent rains sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms in some places.
 
Gusts of wind with peaks ranging up to 50 km/h can be observed, as reported by the Journal of Mayotte.
