Mayotte formally request its integration in the Indian Ocean Commission in July

While the president of the Republic, François Hollande, should attend the 4th Summit of the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) to be held on July 26 in Moroni in the Comoros at the invitation of President of the Comoros Ikililou Dhoinine, request the formal integration of Mayotte island within the IOC that be made on that date with governing bodies, as the newspaper Mayotte France relates.

The 101st French department could thus integrate the organisation whose bases were launched December 20, 1982 in Port Louis in Mauritius and institutionalised January 10, 1984 by agreement of Victoria in the Seychelles.

Mayotte will then join Comoros, Reunion, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles and as a member of the Committee on the Indian Ocean which defines and develops projects of regional economic cooperation countries.
