Mayotte: The emission of M6 "Enquête exclusive" at the heart of sensitive missions of police and gendarmes on the island of perfume
The program "Enquête exclusive" broadcast on M6 in France Sunday night and Monday today on satellite operators in the Indian Ocean, has interfered in the heart of the field work of the police and gendarmes Mamoudzou in Mayotte, a report entitled "Policiers et gendarmes : mission sensible dans l'océan Indien". (Police and gendarmes: delicate mission in the Indian Ocean).

On Perfume Island, the law enforcement carry perilous activities, according to the M6 channel, where they get involved in "chase sequences" on land as well as in sea to encounter illegal immigrants and smugglers.

Police as well as gendarmes thus struggle against illegal immigrants from their sister Island, Comoros.

The M6 channel describes "extreme situations ranging from manhunt to rescue shipwrecked in distress" with illegal immigrants who "try their luck with makeshift boat edge and unscrupulous smugglers abandon them more and mostly on desert islets".

The program "Enquête exclusive" also zoom in on the fate of the 6,000 children whose parents are clandestine and had been subject to deportation and were expelled from French territory.

"They nowadays wander alone on streets of the island. Without benchmarks some sink rapidly into delinquency. Pilfering, burglary and stoning busses, the residents are outraged and justice overwhelmed", commented the M6 channel on its site.
