Mayotte: The Minister of Public Service, Marylise Lebranchu on the island this weekend
The Minister of State Reform, of the Decentralization and Public Service, Marylise Lebranchu, will pay an official visit to Mayotte, Sunday 7 and Monday, July 8, as indicated by Kewezi Television.

Three topics will be on the menu of her displacement on l'île aux parfums, the situation of officials in Mayotte, decentralization with a backdrop of departmentalization and access to the outermost region status by 1 January 2014) and the employment and economic competitiveness, with the signing of jobs of the future.

Wage indexation of public service to Mayotte is probably the culmination of discussions, the inflexible government has proposed an alignment of treatment up to 40%, with a timetable of five years and a salary increase of 8% every year, following the repeated strikes that marked the social climate in Mayotte since the beginning of 2013.

The Inter has always argued in turn that "the indexing rate of 40% is well below the actual cost of living and living conditions of Mayotte" and wanted to get at least 53% of the rate of increase as practiced in Reunion.
