CNAM (The National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts) will operate again in Mayotte. An agreement protocol has thus been signed focussing on the conditions of this institution's resumed activities, last Thursday between Daniel Zaïdani, President of the General Council of Mayotte and Olivier Faron, General Manager of CNAM in the presence of Laurent Pieuchot, Director of centres network in Conservatory regions.

The reopening of CNAM centre in Mayotte will facilitate in continuous training for those who are in possession or not of a job. CNAM was launched in Mayotte in 2005 and was shut down in 2009, due to a lack of subventions.

A first training offer is expected for next March and this, initially, by distance. Other training programmes have been elaborated and CNAM is examining the possibility of organising courses on the spot, as reported by Mayotte Hebdo newspaper.
