Mayotte: Solemn audience installation of the new prosecutor




The solemn installation ceremony of the new Prosecutor of the Republic sitting at the Tribunal de Grande Instance (TGI) of Mamoudzou, Joel Garrigues, took place early in the week.
 
The magistrates and judicial personnel of the TGI gathered in courtroom to mark the event after the departure of Philippe Faisandier appointed the Prosecutor of the Court of appeal of Saint-Denis of Reunion.
 
Jacques Witkowski, the prefect of Mayotte, the colonel of gendarmerie, Jean Gouvart, as well as the Divisional Commissioner Bernard Scapin were also present, as reported by Kwezi Television.
 
 "The tribunal de Grande Instance is young. We hope that soon we will be able to move and have greater local", stressed the new Prosecutor of the Republic, Joel Garrigues.
 
As a reminder, the Tribunal de Grande Instance has seen the day on April 1, 2011, at the time of departmentalisation, in replacement of the Superior Court of appeal had no similar structure in the judiciary of the hexagon.
