Mayotte: Publication by IEDOM of the monitoring of loans granted to Mahoran enterprises



The Institute d'émission des départements d'Outre-Mer (IEDOM) recently issued for the island of Mayotte the monitoring of loans to Mahoran companies on March 31, 2014. The amount is summed up to 357.6 million euros against 358, 2 million euros at the end of the year 2013.


"Very slight decrease at the start of year (0.2%, compared to 5.9% in the last quarter of 2013), the healthy stock of loans to enterprises amounted to 357.6 million euro on March 31, 2014 (against 358, 2 million euros in December 2013)."
 
Over one year, it however maintained a strong momentum of growth (16.2%, i.e. 50.0 million euro) and enrolled on the momentum of the period March 2012 - March 2013 (19.3%, i.e. 49.8 million euro).
 
Investment credits, representing 72.9 % of loans to companies in the first quarter, continues to grow (0.6%) to 261 million euro. One year they increase of 42.4 million euros (19.4%) supported by the sharp increase in credits for equipment (19.5%, or 42.2 million euro).

Operating loans (9.3% of the total appropriations) decreased by 6.8% to 33.2 million euro (-2.4 million euros in the quarter). This contraction, more pronounced than the end of 2013 (-2.9%) is explained by the decrease of 24.8% (-5.7 million euro) in cash loans which is not compensated by the increase in 32.2% (3.3 million euro)
 
By ceiling to 60.9 million euro (against 60.8 million euro in December 2013), credits to real estate made the business increase very moderately at the beginning of the year (0.2%) but nevertheless recorded a new record level on March 31, 2014. Over one year, they rose by 10.5% (5.8 million eurp).
 
Finally, other types of credits maintain their level by the end of 2013 that is 2.5 million euros of outstanding (against 0.7 million in March 2013) ".
