Mayotte: Project of cableway between Petite-Terre and Grande-Terre

Mayotte: Project of cableway between Petite-Terre and Grande-Terre
Barges and amphidromous that connect Petite-Terre Grande-Terre on the island of perfumes, costing about 11 million euro annually to the General Council for only 2 million in revenue.

Almost 4 million people thus use the barges every year in Mayotte, which makes this the first link in terms of maritime passenger traffic.

The departmental community through the DEAL (Department of Environment, Planning and Housing) studies the feasibility of building a cableway between the airport and Pamandzi Mahabou tip to reduce its operating expenses.

The building of such a work would save time on the journey between Petite-Terre and Grande-Terre and require 50 million worth of work.

In addition, the EU could fund up to 85% the amount of the invoice.

10,000 people per hour could be transported by cable car project which would be coupled with the establishment of a public service delegation, as indicated by the newspaper France Mayotte and Kwezi Television.
