Mayotte: Notice of indefinite strike of officers of the territorial public service of the Town Hall of Mamoudzou




The unions CFDT and FO of officers of the territorial public service of the Town Hall of Mamoudzou in Mayotte filed a notice of indefinite strike from today, Tuesday 12 November.
 
Some 300 municipal officers want to benefit them also from the recent wage indexation decided by the Government for civil servants of the State and the public hospital service and for judges serving in the 101st Department, as relates the newspaper of Mayotte.
 
The prefect Jacques Witkowski had especially written on October 30 a letter to the presidents of the affected communities, the General Council, municipalities, municipal associations explaining that this device could be extended to community workers or by a deliberation not to do so.

As a reminder, the increase of treatment allocated to officials of the State and the public hospital service as well as for the magistrates of the island of perfumes was unanimously approved since October 28, 2013, in the Official Journal, after the signing of the Decree 2013-964 by the Minister of overseas ten days earlier.

The rate of increase "applicable to the indexed salary" basis is scaled as follows:
 
- 1 January to 31 December 2013: 5%
 
- 1 January to 31 December 2014: 10%
 
- From 1 January to 31 December 2015: 20%
 
- From 1 January to 31 December 2016: 30%
 
- From 1 January 2017: 40%
