Mayotte: Many of the last legislative candidates, heavily sanctioned by the Constitutional Council
The Constitutional Council's decision, in Electoral Matters, April 12, on the fairness of campaign accounts, heavily was penalizing three years of ineligibility several candidates who sat for the last parliamentary elections in Mayotte.
 
Their campaign accounts do not however had any major irregularity.

But the unsuccessful candidates, out in the first round of voting, did not simply filed before the deadline of the tenth Friday following the first round before 6:00 p.m., as expressly stated in Article L. 52-11 of the Election Code, for candidates who passed the threshold of 1% of the vote.
 
Bacar Haladi, Toilha Minihaji, Attoumani Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Kamaldine Attoumani, Aynoudine Madi Toumbou Maurice and Jacques-Martial as well as Henry are ineligible for three years, as related by the newspaper France Mayotte.
