Mayotte: Mahoran airline Company Ewa celebrates its first year of existence




The Mahoran airline company Ewa in activity from November 2013, celebrated its first year of existence, a few days ago, with 36.297 transport passengers in 12 months of which 60% are of Mahoran origin.
 
"One year, it is already very good. Infant mortality of airline companies is very high and the first year is always the most difficult," stressed the CEO of Ewa and president of the Board of Air Austral, Marie-Joseph Male.
 
Thus in honor of this first year of operation, a partnership agreement between the airline and companies of Mayotte was enacted, according to the Journal de Mayotte newspaper.
 
For its second year of exercise, twelve additional rotations will be also included in the program of flights during the holiday of feast of the year.
 
As a reminder, the Mahoran airline company Ewa with Air Austral as main shareholder company, with over 52% of 4.4 million euros of capital, is also 47.7% owned by the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Mayotte (22.7%) and the company Ylang Invest (25%).
