He had his wandering hands on his female colleague, employed as department supervisor in a Jumbo score supermarket at Majicavo-Lamir, a small village in the commune of Koungo, situated in the north-east of Mayotte. The young woman made a complaint to the management and sanctions were immediately taken against the suspect. He has been suspended from duty before the management will take any further decision in regard to his dismissal.

But the young man's suspension has caused dissatisfaction among other employees who support that there is only a "misunderstanding" because "he barely touched her bum", according to them. "She does not have to wear short clothes !", adds the delegate of the trade union movement of CGT (which means the General Confederation of Labour) of Mayotte.

About thirty employees, some cashiers and those who assist with stocking shelves stopped work this morning in support to "one of us who has been unfairly punished", according to the delegate. The shelves were almost empty on this Saturday 25 January. The cash machines were deserted, exception to three which were operating and that, with the help of the administrative staff, as reported by the newspaper Journal de Mayotte.
