Mayotte: A fish farm permitted with an annual production of 60 tons of Umbra

A pisciculture in sea water activity, with an annual production of about 60 tons of umbra, should be implemented shortly in Dembéni Ironi Bé at Mayotte in Petite-Terre.

The administration has just given his agreement by prefectoral order for the operation of the site which enjoys a temporary occupation permit (AOT) on nearly 600 m².

The proceedings had been initiated since July 2011, as reported by Kwezi Television.

Thus the operator, SCEA Ocean lagoon Aqua, after the report of the CODERST (Council of the environment and the health and technological risks), is now authorised to place its floating sea cages for the start of his farm.
