Mauritius: over 400 shipwrecks lie around the sides of the island
The Mauritius Museum Council (MMC) and the Mauritius Marine Conservation Society work together for 3 years, through the Archeomar project, a complete inventory of the wrecks lying in Mauritian waters.
 
They are thus more than 400 shipwrecks which have been already recorded around the 350 kilometers of coastline, as reported in the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
