Mauritius: foreign Direct Investments in 2014 on the island higher than those of 2013




Foreign direct investments (FDI) in Mauritius have raked in 2014 approximately 14.1 billion rupees * in their wake. This represents an amount exceeding the previous year which had registered 9.5 billion rupees.
 
Real Estate brings together on its own 6.2 billion rupees of foreign investment to develop the sector on the island.
 
As a reminder, the foreign direct investment (FDI) in Mauritius have accumulated approximately 108 billion rupees between 2006 and 2014.
 
In 2006, FDI had amounted to approximately 7 billion rupees and were estimated at 20 billion rupees in 2012, before falling to approximately 9.5 billion rupees in 2013.
