Mauritius aims 60,000 Indian tourists in 2014

The tourist authorities of Mauritius announced of having as aim to bring some 60,000 Indian tourists on the island by 2014.
 
In the first half of 2014, Indian tourists were thus 33.173 to land in Mauritius, an increase of 4.2% compared to the same calendar period in 2013.
 
Mauritius has seen landed on its soil 57.255 Indian tourists last year and 55.197 in 2012.
 
 Indian tourists travelling in travel in Mauritius are mostly of honeymooners and holidaymakers, according to the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
 
As a reminder, the tourist arrivals to the island of Mauritius grew by 2.9% in 2013 with 993.106 registered visitors.
 
The official body Statistics Mauritius previewed last March an increase of tourist arrivals in 2014, with an increase of 3.7% and approximately 1.030.000 travelers who should visit Mauritius this year.
