Mauritius: Twelve foreign universities want to establish themselves on the island




Tertiary education of Mauritius greatly interest to foreign universities. Thus, twelve universities based in France, Great Britain and Malaysia want to open a branch on the island.
 
The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) is currently considering their candidature file before granting or not the green light for an upcoming installation.
 
As a reminder, the prestigious University of Aberystwyth Welsh created in 1872, classified among the world's top 400 campus has already obtained approval of the Mauritian university authorities to begin its academic activities locally starting in October 2015.
