Mauritius: Tourism revenues on the island are expected to increase by more than 9% in 2014




 
The central bank of Mauritius aligns on the previsions of the official organism, Statistics Mauritius, and also aims on an increase in tourist arrivals in 2014, with an increase of 3.7% and about 1030.000 travellers who should visit Mauritius throughout this year.
 
At the same time, tourism revenues in Mauritius evaluated in 2013 at 40.6 billion rupees* should increase of 9.7% and reaching 44.5 billion of revenues at the end of 2014, as reported the Le Matinal newspaper.
 
As a reminder, tourist arrivals in the island has experience a growth of 2.9% in 2013 with 993.106 registered visitors.
 
*One euro roughly equivalent to 41 rupees
