Mauritius: The stock market falls since the beginning of the year 2015




The activity of the Stock market of Mauritius continues to fall since the beginning of the year. Thus, the SEMDEX index calculated over all equities listed on the stock market has lost 6.9% of its value in 2015.
 
At the close of the market at the end of last week, 372 million rupees * of transaction were exchanged. Foreign investors have in particular sold for 207 million rupees of shares, while at the same time, they purchased only for 67.2 million rupees.
 
On a reminder note, the SEMDEX index had already fallen by 1.05% last year. However in 2013, the index had experienced an increase of 21%.
